Robert Hahn and Peter Passell are both economists specializing in regulation, who have written (together and separately) on subjects ranging from the price impact of offshore oil drilling to the Microsoft antitrust case.

For many years Bob directed the AEI-Brookings Joint Center for Regulatory Studies, a non-partisan effort aimed at increasing the accountability of regulators and lawmakers. He is director of economics at Oxford’s Smith School, a professor of economics at Manchester, and a senior fellow at the Georgetown Center for Business and Public Policy.

Peter taught economics at Columbia University and later wrote about anything and everything economic for The New York Times. Today he is a senior fellow at the Milken Institute and the editor of its quarterly journal, The Milken Institute Review.
